this afternoon read Ps Steven Furtick's blog (am a "secret reader" of his blog after chancing upon his link from xiang's blog) and learnt smth interesting from one of his post:
I used to hate confusion
Lately I’m learning to love the feeling.
When I’m confused about something, it’s:
- an opportunity to lean not on my own understanding
- a portal to a deeper understanding of the character of God
- a precursor to greater faith
- a great occasion to humble myself and seek the wisdom of others
- a sign that my God is elevating me to another level, and my current mindset isn’t adequate for the place God wants to take me next
- a birthplace for innovative and breakthrough concepts
You can either avoid confusion because it makes you feel vulnerable-and miss the chance to upgrade your paradigm-
Or lean into your confusion, admitting you don’t have the answers, and watch God expand your thinking and grow your soul.
i shall see confusion in a different light!
met gwen and daniel for his belated bdae dinner. we were commenting how we r actually growing up and stuff. which reminds me of the convo i had with shuz this afternoon over msn..was talking to her abt the same stuff and i felt encouraged after that.
i pray that i will nv grow to be skeptical but always having a child-like faith. i strongly believe youth has so much potential to be tap on. i wanna make it count and get people on boat to make their youth count as well. people like shuz, gwen and daniel (and many other ldrs) who gave their youth to invest on this young generation becos they see the potential in them. wow!
